Love is

Dear Friends,

Loving ourselves -?????
You may wonder what is there in loving ourselves. Its means a lot. Many times we may forget ourselves. We should have a deep appreciation for who we are. We accept all the different parts of ourselves—our wonderful qualities, anger, our imperfections, embarrassments and etc.

Feel your presence in this world.Be good to yourself. You will train other people to do the same.

If they aren’t good to you, you will still have your old standby who is always good to you: YOU. Pretty much what matters most at the end of the day. You being good to you. The rest will follow.

We are the power we have been seeking. Realise and Love yourself unconditionally

With this thought, i am here to share a quilled artwork on Love.

Since February being month of Love, we at Indian Quilling Challenge has challenged you to make something on What love is to you

Here is quilled heart with yourself monogram

Here are the step involved to create this artwork

I drew a heart shape and wrote the monogram in a cardstock.
Used 3mm white quilling strips to outline the shape. Filled the monogram with beehive swirls and some quilled florals inside the heart

Hope you like it

Quilled Shaker Card

Dear friends,

It is Love Shaker card at Create something catchy challenge

Here is my inspiration  to you - A quilled love shaker card

Quilled shaker card - very easy to do. Here is the step by step tutorial for shaker card

Steps involved:(was experimenting - hence couldn't take a step by step photo)
  1.  Cut a heart shape cardstock or diecut. outlined the heart shape with beehive scrolls between two strips
  2. Then put whatever you like inside the heart to give the shakers effect - I have used glass beads here
  3. Seal the heart with a transparent sheet, Then outline the heartshape with quilling strips above the transparent sheet (quite challenging - use fast drying glue). Then attach beehived scrolls to the outlined strip. Allow it dry
  4. Your shaker heart is ready to mount on any card stock and decorate as you wish(i have used handmade roses)
  5. It is very simple - you don't need any foam - you can use any basic shapes of quilling for this
Here is the outcome
Post your shaker card entries to CSCC#11 - Love shaker card
