Mixed media card

 Hello everyone

I have made a mixed media card for Altenew inspiration challenge inspired by Emily’s colour palette.

I have used fairytale florals stampset for this card. Coloured the image with camilin watercolours crayons.

Over the card front, i have stenciled it using expressions crafts stencil and texture paste. Then spritzed some white gesso .

Next step is to add florals and sentiment. Sentiment is from Altenew versatile greetings dieset.

Finished the card by adding sequins.

Altered box with Patina effect Ft. Craftbox Steampunk Cogs

 Hello Friends....

Today I’d like to share with you an altered box with patina effect featuring Steampunk Cogs & resin roses from Craftbox UK.

I was hoarding this box for a long time and loved to dirty my hands with paints.

My version of creating patina effect was with chalk and metallic paints

Here are the steps for easy Patina effect :

1. I primed the box with black gesso. Then added some crackle paste randomly. Dry it thoroughly

2. Adhered the metal cogs and elements with heavy dimensional gel

3. Applied a coat of black and white gesso and let it dry

4. Coated with Teal and Sandstone colour chalk paints and let dry

5. Apply dry brush of blue metallic paints

Sweet memories Layout for Craftbox

 Dear Crafty Friends,

Today i share a mixed media layout for Craftbox UK Design a part of their design team.

I have used Autumn Coffee Paperpack for this layout.

I love the colors in this collection and you?
The flowery background and the mild colour of blue and coffee are perfect for any layout and card.
It’s a very simple layout to do, not a lot of steps. I’ll explain a little how I proceeded for this layout.

Basic Process:
The first step i cut a round shape and layered over the layout and I used vintage brown Distress ink with a stencil to make a pattern on the sides of the round shape. Then with another stencil and white texture paste. After drying I added watercolours.
On the chipboard sentiment, I applied the distress ink and then glued some glitters.

Under the photo, I placed a pieces of ephemera of the same collection which gives the impression of  layers of paper. And now the flower bouquets I put in several kinds of flowers, die cuts, layered embellishment, chipboards, foliage, sequins and frayed lace. I finished my page with a few drops of white gesso diluted with a little water here and there.
