Quilled Wedding Keepsakes

Dear Friends,

Marriage is a turning point in each one life from where you are stepping into a new life, new love, new relations and of course the new you.

Wedding keepsakes will be good gift for the couples to remember their joyous moments.

In Hindu religion, a ritual named Sapthapadi - Which i love the most. The Vows taken by both bridegroom and bride. Most of us doesn't know the meaning, we blindly obey the Poojari's words.

Here are the seven vows of the Hindu Marriage

Let us take the first step to provide for our household
a nourishing and pure diet, avoiding those foods injurious to healthy living.

Let us take the second step to develop physical, mental and spiritual powers.

Let us take the third step to increase our wealth
by righteous means and proper use.

Let us take the fourth step to acquire knowledge,
happiness and harmony by mutual love and trust.

Let us take the fifth step, so that we be blessed
with strong, virtuous and heroic children.

Let us take the sixth step for self-restraint and longevity.
Finally, let us take the seventh step and be true companions
and remain lifelong partners by this wedlock."

We have taken the Seven Steps. You have become mine forever.
Yes, we have become partners. I have become yours.

Made a Simple design to give importance to the wordings. Quilled manadala to give peace and mirror to commit themselves to the vows. Knowing the meaning of sapthapadi will increase the bond between the couples.

We at IQCG have set anything goes with pink challenge and at Unstampabelles -  Challenge #54: Looking Forward, Looking Back

Wedding Keep sake Invitation

Hi Friends,

My first Quilled keepsake invitation motivated me to gift the similar projects to my friends on their wedding / anniversary. Here are my quilled projects made for wedding and for anniversary. Waited the frame shop to complete the framework, but of no use. It will take a couple of days for him to complete. Hence posting my work with some magic done with Picasa.

This artwork is done with a collection of Fringed flowers. Decorated the heart with beehived strips with beads inside.
