let it fly

Dear Friends,

This is picture heavy post.

Today I am sharing midpost of May release of Gracellie Designs and a step by step Mixed media tutorial along with Blog hop event of Gracielle Designs.

Here is my Mixed Media art with the butterfly stamps

Stampset which I used is - Persevere

Here is the tutorial

Supplies which i used for this art work

Step 1:Take a plain cardstock and glue the tissue paper above it as displayed below

Step 2. Apply two coats of Gesso over it with a flat brush
Step 3 - Allow it to dry
Step 4- Add the twine(you can use any stencil design instead if you want)
Step 5: Diluted the puffy paint in a mister and misted randomly

Step 6:  Allow it to dry.  In the meantime, print the digis on a cardstock and colour it as you wish.
Then I have added foam putty randomly. Don't use heat gun after this step, it will melt the foam balls.
I did fussy cutting  of the digis and adhered the butterflies over the textured layer with the help of foam tape. Added sentiment to the center which is cut with Gina K Design Stiched oval die.
As i stay in a industrial town and need to purchase all my craft stuffs online, i use every bit of the cardstock

Some close up clicks

Apart from Gesso,i have not used any costly materials for this. You can use any paint/colouring medium

Hope you like it.

Over to the blog hop.

It is true, the cardstock we use can be expensive or hard to get, we need to do our best to save every bit! Beautiful coloring too!
