canvas with rainbow colours

Hi friends,

I am here today to share my first post on my DT assignment with Rainbow Craftykari team.  Here is my inspiration for our current challenge theme "Rainbow Friendship"

I have a made a special canvas artwork with rainbow colours for my son who celebrates his birthday this month. My daughter insisted me to make something for him. She wants butterfly in that. To make their bondage strong have created this mixed media canvas.

Step 1:
Start with a A4 size canvas and apply a coat of white gesso which will allow the colour to blend well. Allow it to dry.

Step 2:
Create a background using block stencil, timholtz stencil and sakura modelling paste.

Step 3:

Used my homemade colour sprays for the background and misted it randomly with misters.

Step 4:

Choose your image, cut out the shape and use the foam tape to adhere to canvas. Embellish it as you wish.I have chosen the butterflies as embellishment since my kids love them. The butterflies are the digital stamp from Gracielle Designs. Randomly added 3D stickles and sequins

Step 5:

Print out your chosen saying, glue onto the canvas with foam tape. Use any paper varnish to give a final protective coat.

Materials:

Basic materials: Canvas, Sakura Modelling Paste, Camiln Fabrica Acrylic Paints, 3d Stickles, Sequins and Tim holtz stencils, Sprayer bottles, Ranger Distress inks.
Stamps: Digital stamps from Gracielle Designs

Hope you are inspired and can't wait to see how your creative work for our current challenge theme. Link you projects here.
